Baker Creek (rareseeds.com) and Renee’s Garden (reneesgarden.com) donate seeds every year for our Green Scene plants. They have requested pictures of “seeds being planted, gardeners tending to crops, and people enjoying the harvest.” The paragraphs below explains how they use the pictures.
“Please be sure to send us pictures throughout the growing season of gardeners big and small using and enjoying the seeds we donated. We love to see pictures of seeds being planted, gardeners tending to crops, and people enjoying the harvest! You sent us some great ones in August, thank you.
We use these pictures in our newsletters as well as our social media platform. If you can also provide short captions of what is going on in the pictures and share any stories that you feel highlight how the seeds benefited your community we would greatly appreciate it!”
This is a good opportunity for COGC members to show our appreciation for the donated seeds. Please consider sending your pictures of vegetable flats planted for Green Scene, our Green Scene activities at the Arboretum, pictures of the vegetables planted in your garden, and vegetables harvested from your garden.
The donated seeds really help our net dollars. For instance, for 2020 Green Scene we did not purchase any tomato seeds. The tomato seeds left over from 2019 and the seeds donated by Baker Creek and Renee’s Garden for 2020 Green Scene are sufficient for 2020.
Please send those pictures and comments to Baker Creek (rareseeds.com) and Renee’s Garden (reneesgarden.com),
