The Learning Garden

Our speaker at February’s meeting was David King the founder and first Chair of the Seed Library of Los Angeles. In addition, he is the Garden Master for The Learning Garden, a community and school garden located on the campus of Venice High School.

The Learning Garden was launched in March of 2001. Since then it has quickly become one of the country’s largest and most successful school gardens. The garden is a model example of how school gardens can transform the lives of students and teachers and the environment of their community.
