Annual August Tomato Tasting
and Harvest PotLuck Dinner

You’re Invited!

The California Organic Gardening Club is holding its Annual Tomato Tasting and Harvest Potluck Dinner  on Wednesday, August 14th at 7:00 p.m. This program is a highlight of the year for many of our members. The dinner is also a great opportunity for new members to meet and mingle!

The price of admission is a dish to share that you have prepared from your garden’s bounty, be it an appetizer, main dish, side dish, salad, or dessert.

If you have tomatoes, be sure to bring them for the tasting. For the sake of convenience, bring your tomatoes already cut up for sampling. Make certain to have each variety well marked, no mystery tomatoes, please. If possible, bring an uncut tomato of each variety to display with your samples. The club will provide the plates, toothpicks, voting ballots, and pens.

We will be voting on the best tasting standard-sized tomato, along with the additional category of best tasting cherry tomato. After tasting each variety, we’ll mark our ballots, and tally the results.

If you have any other vegetables from your garden that you are especially proud of, bring them and we’ll showcase those as well. So trot out that special squash, pepper, eggplant, cucumber, or melon and give it a chance to shine!

PLEASE NOTE:  There will be no exchange table at this meeting.
